July 6, 2015 - Council of the Whole-Finance

Councilman Paul Mackey opened the meeting by stating that Council needs to address employee wages at this time, since the new wage proposals and outlines from HR Consultant John Barkan were not finalized and ready for Council at this time.

The committee discussed the need to review the existing wage ordinance and begin work on a new employee wage structure and pay raise process.

The need for a call-out procedure for village employee was discussed.

John Barkan stated that he will be prepared to present council with his proposal during the first week of August.  Council will call a meeting with Mr. Barkan sometime during that week.

The committee agreed to propose a 3% wage increase based on the existing pay ordinance to council at the next council meeting.
