Brewster Economic Development Committee members are Village Administrator Mike Miller, Councilman Chuck Hawk, Councilman Steve Tharp, and Mayor Mike Schwab. In the Summer of 2013 Brewster Village Council hired a economic development consulting firm, EDDS of Kent, Ohio, to work with the Village on formulating a Community Comprehensive Sustainability Plan. With EDDS at the forefront in July and August of 2013 through a number of community meetings and a retreat by Village Council EDDS was able to accumulate data that provided a formal Community Comprehensive Sustainability Plan.
Village Council adopted this Plan on February 3, 2014.
