January 6, 2025 - Parks and Grounds Committee Meeting Minutes

These Minutes are compiled by the Village Clerk-Treasurer who is designated as Council Clerk. Diligently using notes taken at each meeting and from a review of the audio recordings of the meeting the Village Clerk-Treasurer compiles the Minutes. The Ohio Sunshine Law states "A public body must keep full and accurate minutes of its meetings. Those minutes are not required to be a verbatim transcript of the proceedings, but they must include enough facts and information to permit the public to understand and appreciate the rationale behind the public body’s decisions". The Ohio Sunshine Law further states "Many public bodies make a contemporaneous audio recording of the meeting to use as a back-up in preparing written official minutes. The Ohio Attorney General has opined that such a recording constitutes a public record that the public body must make available for inspection upon request."

The Minutes shown on this page are written in compliance with the Sunshine Law. In addition, in compliance with "Council Rules" Brewster Council receives a review copy of the Minutes during the week after the Meeting, and at their next Meeting Council is obligated to clarify any information contained therein before formally approving the final form of those Minutes that will then constitute a public record.
