YARD WASTE & RECYCLING
YARD WASTE:
Brewster is one of ten communities in Stark County that hosts a yard waste drop off site. This unmanned site is located at the northern most section of the parking lot in Bimeler Park. This yard waste program is a cooperative effort between the Stark-Wayne-Tuscarawas Waste Management District and the Village of Brewster. The Waste Management District provides a Grant that funds most of this program with revenue generated by Tipping Fees charged to haulers that use landfill sites within the District. The program is fairly simple as the Village provides and maintains a drop off site and contracts with Bull Country of Dundee to provide and service the roll-off (a 8.5 ton container) in which the yard waste is deposited and removed.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. THIS SITE IS MAINTAINED BY VILLAGE PERSONNEL AND ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN DO TO CONSOLIDATE THE YARD WASTE MATERIALS THAT YOU ARE DROPPING OFF WOULD BE APPRECIATED. PUT THE MATERIALS AS CLOSE TO THE BACK WALL OF THE SITE AREA AS POSSIBLE. THIS WILL PROVIDE MORE AREA FOR THE NEXT GUY AND WILL KEEP THE OVERFLOW OUT OF THE PARKING LOT. ALSO, DROP OFF ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS ONLY.

RECYCLING DROP OFF SITE
This site is also provided through a cooperative effort by the Village and the Stark-Wayne-Tuscarawas Waste Management District. On the local level, the Village is assisted by the Brewster Boy Scouts who staff the site on the second and fourth Saturday each month between 10 am and 1 pm. This drop off site accepts specific plastics, glass (cleaned and rinsed), cardboard (flattened), paper, and aluminum. This drop of site is available to residents from dawn to dusk. We again request your assistance in maintaining this site. Please place acceptable items only within the bins and refrain from placing any materials outside of the bins.
This site is also monitored by the Village Police Department and the PD will prosecute anyone dropping off unacceptable materials.
