October 20, 2014 - Utility Committee Meeting

The meeting was to review the Harmon Substation changeover.

The meeting was turned over to Dwight Neiderkofler(Dwight) of GPD and Glenn Mitchell of FirstEnergy.

Dwight started the meeting by discussing the benefits of the sale of the line which included the reduction in line exposure, better reliability through a more robust line, and less residential flickering.

Glenn Mitchell discussed the cutover sequence. A twenty-four hour outage versus two twelve hour outages were discussed. 

A generator and a mobile substation were discussed for the residents along with businesses having their own generators. AMP will be contacted to see what resources they have to offer.

The target date for completion is April 23, 2014.
