December 15, 2014 - Utility Work Session

The meeting was to review the Harmon Substation changeover.

 

The meeting was turned over to Dwight Neiderkofler(Dwight) of GPD.

 

Dwight discussed easements and that First Energy(FE) would require addition acreage.  He provided a draft purchase agreement.  Final draft expected mid-January 2015.  The closing of the sale is expected by the end of March 2015.  The additional time GPD will be billing for the increased easement and acquisition are reimbursable from FE. 

 

Three weekends were discussed for the outage in April.  GPD will be drafting letters for the businesses and special needs residents.  The outage will be based on the least amount of impact of the businesses.  A load shed program was discussed along with generators.  There will be informational meetings.

 

The Village Administrator has already discussed the outage with Fairless Superintendent Broc Bidlack and Interim Fire Chief Jen Mohler has discussed it with Brewster Parke.

 

Dwight stated that weather would be the driving factor for the load needed.  He will be back on January 19, 2015 to give Council and update.
