Street Meeting 3/17/14
Council Godwin, Hillard, Mackey, Strausbaugh, and Fox
Village Reps. Schwab, Pauley, and King
Villagers Ray, Lavonne Heitger, Dawn Strausbaugh, Cindy Mackey, Mike Radich,
Ryan Swan, Jim and Jen Spivey.
Called to order by Godwin.
Street levy was the first topic:
Fox what were the percentages used for the last levy: Street 60% tree 20% curb gutter 20%.
Trees have been removed.
Godwin over half of the village does not have sidewalks.
Hillard the subway sidewalk needs repaired the problem is the storm sewer is collapsing
Mackey asked if there was an ordinance for sidewalks Godwin didn’t think there was so
we revert back to the ORC.
Fox the main issue is too get the streets fixed.
Godwin asked Pauley to look into who is responsible for the under pass.
Hillard how much the levy will produce $264000
Godwin I think if this is going to cause a no vote having the sidewalks we need to take
them off the levy.
Repair of Amhurst.
Godwin asked the VA to get quotes for reconstruction and resurface of the street.
The crack sealing of streets was discussed.
Hillard asked the VA to look at sealing some of the bad roads.
Godwin ask the VA to look at what Park Ave. will need for repair. And if he could look
into it.
