FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
May 5, 2014
Officials present: Mayor, Clerk, and all Council Members
Called to order at 6:30pm by Council Member Godwin
The finance committee met to discuss the purchasing of a Track hoe and Front end loader. Tharp said if we don't have the equipment we will have to contract out the work. Godwin said finances are available for the purchase and there is need for equipment. Mackey doesn't think it's a good time for the purchase and he also stated we should track expenditures for equipment rental in the upcoming year. Hillard said when he suggested that we should buy the equipment just not without saving up for it. Tharp ask how much goes into the street equipment fund? King responded $20,000 a year. The meeting ended with Mackey stating it is just not time for this purchase.
The meeting ended at 6:52 pm.
