Parks and Grounds Meeting

All Elected Officials and the Village Administrator were in attendance.

Discussion 1 Covered amending the park rentals to change the format for Pavilions and Gazebo. After a short debate with council consensus was to keep the fees the same for the residents. Council choose to change the current ordinance for out of town renters from $25 down with a total refund if they return it to proper order that they found it to read all non-residents renting our Pavilions and Gazebos will now pay $50 and they will receive $25 dollars back if they return it back to proper order.

Discussion 2 Covered applying for a park grant for a new piece of equipment that would be added to Bimiler Park at the location where we removed the swings in 2015.  It was decided that councilman Godwin to do some leg work on a grant and bring it back to council for their ok.

Discussion 3 The VA was asked to complete the purchase of the lights on the Boulevard all was in favor.  The VA agreed to make the purchase.

Discussion 4 A small discussion took place over the Ordinance about alcohol in the park.  The council wanted to get the solicitors opinion before making a decision.

Discussion 5 was to have the VA get some quotes for resurfacing the basketball court, tennis court and skate park so it would be finished before summer.
