VILLAGE OFFICIALS PRESENT:
Kris King, Clerk-Treasurer

Residents in attendance: Ray Heitger, Jim and Jenny Spivey, Jay Huff, and Ryan Swan.  Jim Barnard, Director of Operations of Brewster Cheese was also in the audience to answer any questions.

The meeting was held to allow public comment on an ordinance approving the rezoning of Parcels 70-01294, 70-00502, 70-01116, and 70-01117 in the Village of Brewster from B-2 (General Business) to I-1 (Restricted Industrial) on East Seventh Street. The Village Planning Commission has met and is recommending the approval of this application.

Councilman Tharp asked what the Brewster Cheese Company was planning for this property.  Mr. Barnard described a 14,666 square foot warehouse addition that would be cooled to store cheese.  Councilman Hawk is a member of the Planning Commission and stated this will not increase traffic in the neighborhood because the entrance is on the south side of the building.  The traffic would be kept internal.

The meeting was opened to the audience.  Ray Heitger lives across the street and was concerned about the noise from the refrigeration units.  Mr. Barnard stated the units would be inside penthouse.  These penthouses are essentially a building around the refrigeration units and there would be only minimal sound.

Meeting adjourned at 6:38pm.

Respectfully submitted,

Kris King, Clerk-Treasurer
