A gentleman who owns a house at the corner of Amherst and Williams Streets requested information on placing gravel on village owned property for the driveway.

 

Council discussed the issue and was decided to meet with the gentleman and discuss the issue in detail.

 

Council then discussed the ongoing issue of trees and sidewalks in the village.

 

The village has an ordinance pertaining to the care and maintenance of sidewalks in the village.  We should be following that ordinance.

 

Trees in the village are an ongoing problem.  It appears that each tree location is a special situation that requires special remedies.

 

As long as the village is restricted by budgetary limitations the challenges presented by trees and sidewalks will be a difficult problem to solve.
