EMPLOYEE COMMITTEE MEETING

NOVEMBER 19, 2012

The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Sherri Bichsel.

 

Chairman Bichsel went over suggested modifications to the pending wage ordinance.

 

Part time benefits that need clarified:

• Jury duty - it was decided that their schedules could be rearranged since it is known in advance.
• Bereavement - it was decided that their schedules could be rearranged since it is known in advance.
• Time Off to Vote - The poles are open long enough that they should be able to vote on their off time.
• Holiday pay while on Chief's pay - After fifteen continuous weekday work days then the employee is eligible

 

Rolling the rank pay into the base pay was discussed for the police department.  Adding $20 to the full time officers uniform allowance was discussed.  Adding a $1,000 stipend for Neighborhood Watch officer was discussed.

 

Rolling required licenses for the superintendent positions was discussed.

 

Rolling in the Construction Foreman stipend into the Street Superintendent's base pay was discussed.

 

Fire Department wages were discussed. The paramedic uniform adjustments were discussed.

 

Meeting adjourned at 6:57pm.
