PUBLIC AUCTIONS

In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 721.15 (D) the Village of Brewster legislative authority hereby expresses its intent to sell unneeded, obsolete, or unfit municipal personal property, including but not limited to motor vehicles acquired for the use of municipal officers and departments, and road machinery, equipment, tools, or supplies, which is not needed for public use, or is obsolete or unfit for the use for which it was acquired, by internet auction.

Brewster is contracting with Public Surplus to conduct the auction(s). The auction shall be conducted continuously, and from time to time, by the Village Administrator through internet Web site maintained by Public Surplus for the purpose of internet auctions.

Each item shall be sold "As Is" to the highest bidder. The Village of Brewster shall make no warranties or guarantees regarding any item sold.

PLANNING COMMISSION

A meeting of the Brewster Village Planning Commission has been scheduled for Thursday April 21, 2022 at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers at Brewster Village Hall at 302 South Wabash Avenue, Brewster, Ohio. At that meeting, the Planning Commission will be holding a public hearing on a zoning map amendment initiated by Brewster Council to rezone 125.27 acres (parcels 7001381, 7001383, 10013711, and 10013712) from I-2 Heavy Industrial to A-1 Agricultural. In general terms the area being considered to be rezoned is bounded by the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railroad Tracks on the north side, the Village corporation limits on the west and south side, and west side of the levee on the east side.

At the April 21^st Planning Commission meeting information will be presented regarding the proposed zoning map amendment. Ultimately, the Planning Commission will make findings of fact and conclusions based upon properly admitted evidence, so anything that the public wishes the Planning Commission members to consider should come in during its meeting and/or public hearings. Planning Commission members are under no obligation and if fact have been discouraged from discussing the application outside their official meetings and/or public hearings.

At the expiration of the April 21st meeting the Planning Commission may review and consider the application, make its findings public, and approve, disapprove, or modify the application after said public hearing, and make a recommendation to Council.

Village Council, upon receipt of Planning Commission’s recommendation, shall set a time for a public hearing.

Application materials are available for inspection at Brewster Village Hall at 302 South Wabash Avenue, Brewster, Ohio. The public may in addition to “attending” the hearing on “Zoom” and providing testimony or asking questions, submit comments or questions in writing prior to the April 21^st meeting. Every effort is being made to allow full public input while observing the restrictions in place on public meetings.
