VILLAGE OFFICIALS:

Kris King, Clerk-Treasurer                             Michael Miller, Village Administrator

This meeting was held in the old portion of the fire station.  The hope is that this project will be eligible for ARP money.  VA Miller did most of the explaining of what the intentions for the area proposed for upgrading.

The area has the two bays closest to Village Hall which contains a kitchen and an office and the old meeting room.  There is currently a unisex bathroom.  The garage doors were replaced by a new glass garage door and a store front door and windows during the Fire Station Expansion Project.

There was a plan drawn up during the expansion as Alternative #2 but was not completed.  The plans include upgrading both rooms and adding another bathroom and meet ADA requirements.  Doors will have to be closed off to prevent the public from entering restricted areas of the Fire Department.  The bay area will be a community room that will have multi-purposes.  It will be large enough to safely hold Council Meetings and Fire Department Meetings, hold EMS Training Sessions, and be able to be rented as a Community Room.

The kitchen will be flipped from the community room to the other side of the wall.  The ceiling will be dropped and the walls drywalled.  The floor will be epoxied.  The new kitchen area will have the cupboards and appliances that are in the current kitchen.  The kitchen will be secure for employee use.

VA Miller asked that Council make a motion to have him contact the engineer to explore the cost of the project.

Meeting adjourned at 6:19 pm

Respectfully,

Kris King, Clerk-Treasurer
