March 2, 2015 - Parks & Grounds
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Mike Schwab, Mayor
VILLAGE OFFICIALS PRESENT:
AUDIENCE:
Ray Heitger
The meeting was opened by Chairman Dave Godwin.
The meeting was held to discuss alcohol in the park for the Firemen's Festival and the Oktoberfest. One of the main concerns was the Village being properly covered for the events. Chris Colucy provided an insurance quote from West Bend Insurance through Wichert Insurance. He intends to use Nationwide Bridge that he says offers the same coverage for half the price. It was discussed and decided that the policies should be compared to ensure they cover the same items and exclusions.
The Village Solicitor was asked if the past practice of giving a waiver to the Firemen's Association was permissible. He stated he felt that was fine. He was asked to give a written opinion.
Profits from the events were discussed along with the prices of food and beverages.
TIPS Training was discussed and it was decided that all bartenders will be required to have the training.
Worker's Comp was also discussed. All firemen and Village employees that volunteer for the events will need to sign a waiver.
Respectfully submitted,
David Godwin, Chairman
