In Attendance:

Rob Pauley, VA, Kris King, Clerk Treasurer, Steven Tharp, Councilman, Dale Fox, Councilman, Paul Mackey, Councilman, Chuck Hawk, Councilman, Ryan Swan, Lineman, Harry Porter, Chief of Police, Chris Colucy, Fire Chief, John Barkan, HR Specialist

Councilman Tharp called the meeting to order at 6pm. The committee discussed the employee sick leave donation program. The Mayor provided a draft to council. Council discussed the details of the policy including but not limited to FMLA standards and other examples of policies. The committee agreed that the policy was a good idea and will be recommending it to the full council in regular session.

Members of the Fire Department joined the meeting: Nicole Kern, Jay Bucher, Roger Carpenter, Matt Bair.

The next item discussed was the cell phone reimbursement for the full time police officers. Concern was raised about the use of personal phones for village business. HR Specialist John Barkan stated that it makes sense to provide the PD with Village provided cell phones. This would protect both the employee and the village. The committee agreed with this sentiment and will recommend this to council at regular session. The committee also stated that a guidelines policy for usage of village cell phones needs to be drawn up for to be included in the Employee Handbook.

Next item on the agenda related to the Fire Department. Chief Colucy provided council with a Lieutenant Position job description. The Chief is recommending Roger Carpenter and Jeremy Henry for Lieutenant. He is also recommending Scott Borojevich as Captain. The only other issue is to fill the mechanic’s position.
