ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Economic Development is best characterized as an ongoing endeavor that must be flexible to the needs of the Village's current business and residential entities as well as being responsive to any inquiries that may made.  Brewster's point man for either measures required by those businesses and residents that call Brewster home and those that may want to locate in our community is the Village Administrator Mike Miller.   Please call 330-767-3931 to contact the VA.

Brewster Economic Development Committee members are Village Administrator Mike Miller, Mayor Chuck Hawk, and Councilman Mike Schwab.   Chuck Hawk currently Chairs the Committee, and Mike Miller would be the day-to-day contact, but any and all of these individuals are at your disposal.

In the Summer of 2013 Brewster Village Council hired a economic development consulting firm, EDDS of Kent, Ohio, to work with the Village on formulating a Community Comprehensive Sustainability Plan.  With EDDS at the forefront in July and August of 2013 through a number of community meetings and a retreat by Village Council EDDS was able to accumulate data that provided a formal Community Comprehensive Sustainability Plan.

Village Council adopted this Plan on February 3, 2014.
