EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION COMMITTEE
AUGUST 30, 2022 – 10:00 AM

Committee Members present: Mayor Chuck Hawk, Council Member Mike Schwab, VA Miller, and Clerk-Treasurer Kris King were in attendance.

VA Miller has been getting comparables from other local communities to see how Brewster’s wages compare in order to attract and keep qualified employees.

VA Miller reviewed the Electric, Police, and Fire Departments’ wages.  Minerva had recently did a wage survey that helped us with some of the other communities’ rates.  There was a discussion on whether a fulltime paramedic position should be advertised.  VA Miller stated that there may be some job descriptions that need tweaked.   Water and Wastewater licenses were discussed and changing the licenses so that a percentage increase would be added each year.  So far, it is looking like a 2.75% increase is looking fair.
