Fire Chief Chris Colucy

Mayor Schwab provided blueprints on the monitor for Council to review and the Chief to explain.  Chief Colucy stated the upstairs needs to be finished and not just roughed out.  The base bid on the building is $1.31 million with $192,000 to finish the upstairs.  The Chief needs the building outfitted: New desks, furniture, computers, etc.  The fence for the new generator will need replaced and four A/C units will need to be purchased.  The building was then discussed: drainage, diesel exhaust, separate gear room, infrared heating.  The Chief showed how some areas are open to the public and how other areas will only be assessible with a key fob that the members will have to carry in order to access the secure areas.  He wants the garage doors on the old part replaced by glass doors to match the new bay doors.  The roof was discussed.  The Chief would like the bids to be advertised in December and January and opened in January.  He hopes to break ground in March, and have it finished by the end of the year.

Meeting adjourned at 6:57 pm.
