MINUTES

BREWSTER COUNCIL OF THE WHOLE

JUNE 24, 2013

7:00 P.M.

 

Brewster Village Council of the Whole and Sugarcreek Township Trustees met in special session.

 

7:00 P.M. – CALL TO ORDER by Mayor Mike Schwab

AUDIENCE:

Dale Fox was present.

 

The meeting was called to discuss the repair of Harmon and Harmondale.

 

Boundaries and the corporation line were discussed.  Supt Patterson explained where the corporation lines were.

 

Trustee Wentling had a quote from Newton to do the asphalt while they were in for another project but it didn't work out.  Supt. Merry stated the quote was $18,000 and will see if they will still do it for that price.

 

The timeline for the project was discussed.  Prep work would take three to four days and includes mowing, patching, pulling the berms and ditches.  Both crews will work on the prep.  The Village will pay for the cold mix for patching, Supt. Merry estimated it would take 21 ton.  The Village and Township will split the cost of the application of the asphalt by the contractor.  Chipping and sealing needs to be done this year. The Village will pay for the tar and the Township will cover the cost the gravel.

 

It was agreed that after the project is completed that the Village will maintain Harmondale and that the Township will maintain Browndale.  An agreement is to be drawn up by the Village and signed.

 

Trustee Wentling would like to see this project completed before school starts.
