September 17, 2013 - Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch minutes for 9/17/13:

A Neighborhood Watch picnic was held at 771 McKinley Ave. SW, Brewster at 6:00pm.  All residents were welcome to attend.  There were 47 in attendance including women, men and children.  A brief overview of the program was given and Jay Huff was asked to give a blessing on the food.  Families were free to enjoy good food while mingling with each other.  Denise Rossiter, our police officer, was in attendance with her grandchildren.  Jen Mohler stopped by with the newest rescue bus. There was only one report of suspicious activity discussed.  It happened on a Sat. morning at 2:30am.  Neighborhood Watch material and cards with the local emergency number were passed out.  We had some new residents attend that were very interested in the program.  The Neighborhood Watch agreed to hold regular meetings on the third Tuesday of every other month.  The next meeting with be November 19th.
