March 16, 2013 - Tree Board Meeting
The tree board was called to order at 9:00 am, April 16,2013.
Present were Tim Stith, Tom Hilliard, Mike Schwab & Jay Huff.
The board talked about trees that were brought forth by residents.
We discussed the tree at 187 w 2nd st.,the tree at Washington & 4th st.,
the tree on E 2nd st., the tree at W 4th & Mckinley, & also the tree at
Wabash & 6th st.
The consensus of the board is as follows:
1 Remove the tree at 187 west 2nd st..
2Remove one tree on east 2nd & trim the other one, Rick to do.
3 Remove the tree at west 4th & McKinley .
4 Remove the first tree after the underpass, east side, Rick to do.
5 Remove 3 trees at Wabash & 6th st., one on the north side & two on the south side.
This is a total of seven trees to remove.
The tree at Washington & 4th, & the pine at village hall were also discussed.
The board decided not to remove these trees. The tree on Washington is a
healthy oak & we are not sure it is on villge property. The tree at village hall
is healthy & we would like to check to see if its growth can be slowed.
The board, also decided not to exceed $10,000.in spending for 2013.
To plant 10 new trees, with one of these being the arbor day tree.
